Dynome is an AI strategy, consulting, and implementation practice. The website at dynome.ai is operated by Jannes Lecompte, trading as Dynome (a business in formation, "onderneming in oprichting"), based in Ghent, Belgium, working together with associates in the United Kingdom.

For the purposes of data protection law, Jannes Lecompte, trading as Dynome, is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

We collect personal information in the following ways:

When you book a consultation or contact us

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name and size
  • Your industry
  • Information you provide about your AI journey and business situation

When you subscribe to our newsletter

  • Your email address

When you visit our website

  • Limited technical information processed in our server logs, such as your IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure and running

We collect this information either directly from you (when you fill in a form) or automatically (in standard server logs). We do not currently use third-party web analytics to build a profile of your browsing.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your consultation requests and enquiries
  • Send you the newsletter you have subscribed to
  • Keep our website secure and operating correctly
  • Comply with any legal obligations

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Our legal basis for processing

We process your personal information on the following legal grounds under EU and UK data protection law (the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, and the UK GDPR):

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We work with a small number of service providers who process personal data on our behalf, under appropriate data processing agreements:

  • Resend (United States), which delivers the email notifications generated by our contact and consultation forms
  • beehiiv (United States), which manages and delivers our newsletter when you subscribe
  • Vercel (United States, with European edge regions), which hosts and serves this website
  • Reclaim.ai (United States), which handles consultation scheduling when you book a call

We may also share information with professional advisers such as lawyers or accountants where necessary, and with regulatory authorities if we are required to disclose information by law.

International data transfers

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, primarily in the United States. Where your personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for UK data, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy:

  • Consultation enquiries: up to 3 years from the date of your last contact with us
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
  • Server logs: a short period, for security and troubleshooting

Under EU and UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your personal information in certain circumstances
  • Restrict how we process your information in certain circumstances
  • Object to our processing of your information where we rely on legitimate interests

  • Data portability: receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format

We will respond to your request within one month. If your request is complex or you have made multiple requests, we may extend this by a further two months and will let you know.
